Happy Days

Today is my birthday and tomorrow would have been the 10th anniversary since I got Fayth from the South African Guide-dog Association. Sadly, she passed away on 2nd May and I still miss her dearly.

This picture originally featured as the very first picture on my blog. I have edited the picture somewhat by cropping the bin off the side. From there, I actually reduced the brightness and contrast until there was less reflection on her muzzle. Sharpening it did not improve the picture, so I did not try it.

The other bit of criticism that I got for the original picture (from a photographer at work) was that I had cut off her foot. As you can see, it's just the way she's standing in the doorway of her kennel.

Any new criticism for this picture would be much appreciated

I don't believe in criticizing the photos but you can get that at SC if you want it.

I just love the photo of a golden retriever, the almost perfect dog, heard a great story and got to wish someone a happy birthday ....all one one comment. You've left me wondering what reason you have a guide dog because obviously you aren't blind though I perfectly well know there are plenty other reasons.
Aphrael: Hi Mary
I was actually hoping for some criticism for this picture, even if to say which was better - the old or new.
Fayth was a Service dog. Trained to help me, because I'm in a wheelchair (I have brittle bones). She used to pick things up for me and carry things. She was also trained to turn on a light and open and close a door, among other things, but she rarely helped me with that.
Thank you for stopping by smile
